Promark Financial Joins Bryan Clay

The Bryan Clay Foundation was created in 2005 by two-time Olympic Decathlon medalist and the “World’s Greatest Athlete”, Bryan Clay. The Foundation, whose vision is “Building champions, changing lives,”
aims to mentor youth as they mature and to help motivate and empower them with the opportunities, desire, and practical tools necessary to maximize their potential.

Through its programs, the Foundation encourages character development and the pursuit of physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.

The Foundation’s most recent venture, the National Walk for Wellness Campaign, is designed to unite communities around our youth in a wellness education program at elementary schools across California (with a national launch scheduled for 2011.) In addition to wellness education, the Foundation helps participating schools execute turnkey walk-a-thon fundraisers with an effective short-term, easily executable solution to budget cuts at the local level.

Bryan Clay, Founder and CEO of the Bryan Clay Foundation states, “What we like most about Promark Financial is that their track record models a commitment to excellence lived out with consistency and conviction. I am confident the impact of this partnership will be a legacy remembered for generations to come.”

David Parsons, COO of the Bryan Clay Foundation adds, “The best part about having Promark Financial on board is not what confidence or credibility we derive from the partnership, but rather, the experiences our youth will gain as the result of an altruistic investment. Thus, our pride becomes our ability as a team to execute effectively on their behalf and to succeed in unlocking the positive power of their potential.”

Promark is excited about teaming up with the Bryan Clay Foundation. Our goal at Promark Financial is to donate $7500 in 2010 to the Bryan Clay foundation. As of June 2010, contributions to the foundation have totaled $2500. We are collaborating with the Bryan Clay Foundation to support the organization’s ongoing efforts to digitize and advance its technological platforms in order to better serve and empower youth. Funds will help to drive organizational awareness and highlight the positive impact made possible by donors, corporate partners, and volunteers.

Bryan Clay’s New Drink is Yoli

National company Yoli will launch its new Fun Active Blast sports drink in the Islands this month with support from the World’s Greatest Athlete — Hawaii’s own decathlete Bryan Clay, who says the drink has enhanced his training and overall performance.

Clay says Yoli’s Blast Cap makes it better than other energy drinks. The cap stores the nutrients and vitamins as a powder until you are ready to mix it with 18 ounces of water and drink it. That way, Clay says, the active ingredients won’t deteriorate while the product sits on the shelf.

“Since the Blast Caps preserve all the vitamins and nutrients until actual consumption, Yoli completely eliminates the need for pasteurization during bottling, which is required by modern manufacturing guidelines to prevent bacteria growth,” he says. “That boiling process destroys a lot of active ingredients, so you’re losing a lot of nutrients. But not with Yoli.”

Yoli sells the Blast Cap separately for $2 or with the Fun water bottle. Clay says Fun Active Blast is geared toward athletes and people on the go. It has zero calories, no artificial sugars, preservatives or caffeine, and is lemon-lime flavored.

The main active ingredient is Alka-Plex, a patented acid-neutralizing ingredient that Yoli says reduces cramping, minimizes muscle stiffness and removes lactic acid.

Dr. Alan Titchenal, professor of Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Hawaii, who has not studied this product, told Hawaii Business that too much acid in the muscles can hurt athletic performance. So, he says, the product could be useful to athletes. “Especially for high-intensity sports, muscles produce lactic acid, so the theory is that if you increase alkaline in the blood, it will neutralize the lactic acid.”

Similar to other energy drinks, Yoli offers network-marketing opportunities. The sales force for “Team Clay” in Hawaii is headed by Bryan’s younger brother,
 Nikolas Clay.

Sheraton Princess Brings Bryan Clay for Wellness Program

Sheraton Princess Kaiulani will be welcoming 2008 Olympic decathlon gold medalist and Hawaii’s very own hero Bryan Clay for a wellness program event. This is a free event on Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 12 – 1 p.m. in the hotel’s ‘Ainahau Lobby.

Besides sharing his story of his journey to win the gold medal in men’s decathlon in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Clay will also be teaching exercises and sharing knowledge about health, fitness, and nutrition as a part of Sheraton Princess Kaiulani’s Cultural Experience program. “We here at Sheraton Princess Kaiulani pride ourselves in sharing local culture with guests from all over the world,” said Fred Orr, the hotel’s general manager. “Having Bryan Clay come is a huge honor because he is such a great role model for our kids and such an inspiration for all.”

Born in Austin, Texas and raised in Hawaii, Bryan Clay competed in track and field at James B. Castle High School and later Azusa Pacific University in California. After meeting Chris Huffins, the 2000 Sydney Olympic decathlon bronze medalist at a track clinic, Clay trained hard in the decathlon, a sport event that consists of 10 individual track and field events that tests an individual’s athleticism to the fullest. Clay’s hard work paid off as he went on to win numerous events, most notably the Olympic silver medal in men’s decathlon in the 2004 Athens Olympics and later the Olympic gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Clay has also won the title “The World’s Greatest Athlete.”
