The Bryan Clay Foundation

The Bryan Clay Foundation was created in an effort to provide underprivileged high school students with opportunities to further their education, by offering academic and athletic scholarships to student athletes. The foundation strives to promote the importance of higher education for student athletes.

The foundation assists high school physical education departments with the purchase of new equipment, facility improvement, and the sponsorship of sporting events. It is also dedicated to supporting other organizations that promote the advancement of underprivileged youth. The foundation is aimed to help Hawaiian born students who have a passion for learning as well as athletics, but lack the resources to continue their education. The inaugural fundraising event for the foundation will take place in October of 2007. Bryan will host a day filled with surfing and golfing, with proceeds going to the foundation. There will be a surf exhibition featuring some of Hawaii’s finest pro surfers as well as a clinic for children to get some hands on instructions from the pros. The event will also feature golf at one of Hawaii’s finest courses as well as a banquet to wrap up the evening.

Currently the foundation receives support from Visa, but could also benefit greatly from personal contributors sympathetic with causes of the Bryan Clay Foundation.
