Bryan takes gold in the heptathalon

Bryan Clay took home the gold in the heptathlon Sunday at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia, Spain. Bryan opened the competition with a win in the 60 meters and won three more events, scoring a personal best 6,371 points for his second world title. After dealing with the flu and an injured hamstring, Bryan shocked the field by coming out and thoroughly dominating the competition.

“If you had asked me two weeks ago if I would be here, I probably would have told you I wouldn’t be at this meet,” said Bryan. “This just shows how well my training has been going.”

Congratulations Bryan!
